For this assigment, we were instructed to develop a story with 15 shots, of which 10 where specific and 5 were up to me to be able to tell the story of any inanimate object. I worked with a partner to develop the story and take the shots
I decided to tell the story of a blue marker that falls off the desk and is separated from the other markers. While on the floor the marker is lonely and missing all the other markers until it finds a pink marker that had gone missing some time ago, and the markers reunite. Eventually, the owner of the marker realizes they are gone and picks them up. At the end all the markers are seen back together.
I think I did a good job with telling the story through images which I found to be a difficult task. I really liked how the point-of-view shot turned out, we were able to find a way to show what the blue marker was looking at without the need of dialogue. However, we could have done better with the extreme close up shot as the picture does not have the best quality and the details cannot be fully appreciated. Another shot that we could have done better is the low angle shot where a hand is shown to be picking the markers up, the lightning is not the best and it looks more scary than hopeful.
